Did you know over 50% of all US homes are podcast fans? That’s over 60 million homes! There are now more weekly podcast listeners than Netflix accounts in the US. It’s safe to say podcasts are here to stay as a form of entertainment and news, whether listened to in the car or at home.
While there are endless podcasts topics, I have put together a list of 10 podcasts that survivors of domestic violence may find helpful and empowering. Most are geared toward survivors, but helpful insights are shared for advocates and service providers as well. The list was compiled through top reviews and recommendations of podcast listeners. I have personally not listened to all podcasts on the list.
I encourage everyone to practice self-care, as these podcasts could be reactivating or emotionally challenging. The New York State Domestic Violence Hotline is always available for confidential support 24/7.
